a free service of the Black Graduate Engineering and Science
Students
of the University of California at Berkeley
By any measure, the presence of African American faculty on campuses
across the nation is at a disproportionately low level. We, the Black
Graduate Engineering and Science Students of UC Berkeley, want to change
the status quo by facilitating the awareness of both potential faculty
candidates and existing faculty mentors. For this reason we have
developed the Future Black Faculty Database and the Black Faculty
Database.
The Future Black Faculty Database contains records of doctoral
candidates, recent graduates, and professionals of African descent
seeking tenure-track university faculty positions. The Black Faculty
Database contains contact information for faculty of African descent who
support the exchange of resources among future and current faculty
members. Please take a look at the databases and help us spread the
word!
